LOUISBURG – Linda Elizabeth Peyton, 72, of Louisburg, died Thursday afternoon. 

Linda was a daughter of the late Noah and Anna Irene Peyton.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nelda E. McGlamery; sister, Carolyn Peyton, and brother, Benny Peyton.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Bill) Hight; son, Don (Cheryl) Evans; sisters, Joyce (Mike) Baumgardner, Phyllis (Danny) Deese and Anita Shaeffer; sister-in-law, Cindi Peyton; brothers, Joe (Angie) Peyton and Mickey (Tina) Peyton; grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Vaughan, Suzanna Hight (Joey) Worrells, Jason (Stacey) Wynne, Megan Pleasants, Steven Pernell, Kevin Pernell, Lindsay Evans (Christian) Daniel and Madison McGlamery; 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Franklin County Animal Shelter, 113 Market Street, Louisburg, NC 27549.
