EDITH KEMP FRISBIE|
July 5, 1914 – January 19, 2013
Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Nelson Frisbie, and son, Charles Edward Frisbie. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Greg May; her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Becky Frisbie; and grandchildren, Brock (Lauren) Frisbie of Raleigh, Meredith (Brian) Newman of Clayton, and Christopher May of Louisburg. She was also blessed with wonderful caregivers during her final years.
Edith graduated from Mills High School in Louisburg in 1930. She was a graduate of East Carolina Teacher’s College in 1932. She was an elementary educator for 43 years, most of which was in the Franklin County School system; however, she was a teacher her entire life. She seldom went a day that she did not run into one or more former students that she could call by name and share a story of something the student did in her class!
A graveside service was held 2:00 pm Monday at Oakwood Cemetery.
The family received friends at the home of Bob and Becky Frisbie from 6:00 – 8:00 on Sunday.
