NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Lena Conyers Lewis died peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2013. A native of Franklinton, NC, Mrs. Lewis had been a VA Peninsula resident since 1949.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Durward W. Lewis; children, Nadina S. Fentress (Gary), Alan D. Lewis (Marie) of Newport News, and Caron Schwartz of Concord, NH; six grandchildren, Amy McCarthy, Allison Turkovich, Carla Howe, Meredith Moreira, Jessica and Matthew Lewis; six great-grandchildren; and her dog, Cookie.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Weymouth Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John Dey, with interment to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
