LOUISBURG - Deborah Taylor “Debbie” Hammett, 63, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at WakeMed Hospital.
She was born in Atlanta, Ga.

Surviving: husband, Samuel Henderson “Sam” Hammett Jr.; daughters, Dr. Britton Hammett McCurry (John) of Newman, Ga., and Samantha Hammett-Sherman (Erik) of Louisburg; father, James C. Taylor of Smyrna, Ga.;  brothers, Phil Taylor (Susan) of Newman, Ga., and David Taylor (Norma) of Smyrna, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Etta Greer Taylor, and an infant granddaughter.
