FRANKLINTON - Brian Keith Stroud, 42, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Franklin Funeral Service chapel in Franklinton, with the Rev. Clyde Waiden officiating.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of Jackie Winston Stroud and Rose Merritt Stroud. He had worked for Burlington Industries as a weaver.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, of Franklinton, are a brother, Jeffrey Allan Stroud of Franklinton; his grandparents, Nellie Lane Stroud and Thelma C. Merritt of Franklinton; a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or to the American Lung Association.
