ZEBULON - Anne Bobbitt Stevens, 85, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Feb. 9, at Wakefield Central Baptist Church. Burial was in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Nash County, daughter of the late Oscar and Dolly Massey Bissette. She was a retired secretary, baker, and a homemaker.

Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by husbands Cedel Martin, Wilfred E. “Jab” Bobbitt, and W. W. Stevens; sons, Tony Martin and Richard Bobbitt; and a brother, Harry Bissette.

Surviving: her children, Connie Bass (Don) of Zebulon, Wayne Martin of Raleigh, Martha Stancil (Lonnie) of Zebulon; sisters, Rose Privette of Zebulon and Corrine Grace of Carlsbad, N. M.; brother, John Bissette (Dorothy) of Raleigh; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
