NEW BERN - Marion Rudolph Rhodes Jr., 79, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007 at his residence.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at Pollock-Best Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow visitation at the Cedar Grove Cemetery Extension in New Bern.

He was a life-long resident of New Bern and was a veteran of WW II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glennie Brinson Rhodes and Marion Rhodes Sr.

Surviving: his brothers, Charles Franklin Rhodes of Pinehurst, John Franklin Rhodes of Newport, Glen Brinson Rhodes of Franklinton; one niece and one nephew.
