LOUISBURG - Mrs. Essie Mae Alston, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 in Philadelphia, Pa. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Feb. 11, at Perry’s Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Surviving: sons, David and Larry Alston; one daughter, Hilda Alston; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
