LOUISBURG - Ruby Marshall Colbert, 70, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 13, 2007. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Feb. 15, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home in Louisburg, with the Rev. Brian Autry officiating. Burial followed at Red Bud Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Colbert was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Tharrington and Artice Marshall, and a brother, Alvin “Shorty” Marshall.

Surviving: her husband, Maurice G. Colbert; daughters, Patricia Branch and Pamela Forsythe, both of Louisburg, Joyce (Johnny) Pleasants of Charlotte, Donna (Fred) Dancy of Castalia; sons, Freddie (Florence) Colbert of Warrenton, Jerry (Donna) Colbert of Louisburg; sister, Sandy (Denny) Davis of Fayetteville; brother, Ed Marshall of Cary; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
