LOUISBURG – James “Jim” Lindo Ward, of Louisburg, died suddenly in a tragic accident Thursday morning.

Jim was a son of the late Jason and Lillian Aycock Ward. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ollie S. Conner, Lola S. Beddingfield and Ola S. Strickland; brothers, Jason Ward, Max Ward, Gene Ward, Robert Ward, Pete Shearin and Herbert Shearin.

Funeral service will be held 3 pm Sunday at Rock Spring Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Bunn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann M. Ward; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Tammy Ward of Louisburg; sister, Nell W. Fairbanks of McLean, VA; sister-in-law, Evelyn S. Ward of Raleigh; grandchildren, Nicole Ward; Joe Hackler and wife, Tara; many nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Rock Spring Baptist Church, Building Fund, 34 Rock Springs Church Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
