Good Friday service
Hawkins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2199 Grove Hill Road, Franklinton, will have Good Friday services on April 18 at 7:30 p.m.
The Rev. Hubert Bell, associate pastor, will deliver the message. Music will be by one of Hawkins Chapel’s choirs.
The Ushers of Rocky Chapel Baptist Church will observe their annual day on Sunday, April 13, during the 10:45 a.m. worship service.
Perry’s Missionary Baptist Church will have its spring revival April 16-18 at 7:30 nightly.
Wednesday night’s speaker will be the Rev. Milton Solomon, accompanied by the Pine Grove Baptist Church family. Thursday night’s speaker will be the Rev. Melvin Johnson, accompanied by the Gillfield church family. Bishop Louis Witherspoon from Westminister Evangelistic Church #2 will be Friday night’s speaker, accompanied by his church family.
The Oak Grove Boys will be the guest group for a gospel singing at Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church, Franklinton, on Saturday, April 12, at 6 p.m.
Light refreshments will be served in the church fellowship hall.
Revival services will be held at Wood Baptist Church, 649 Wood Church Road, Louisburg, April 13-16. Sunday services will be held at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and the Monday-Wednesday services will be at 7 p.m. The evangelist will be Royce Williams.
St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church will hold spring revival services on Thursday, April 17, and Friday, April 18, at 7 p.m.
Speakers will be the associate ministers of St. Stephen, Evangelist Phaulette E. Wood on Thursday night and the Rev. Roy C. Alston on Friday night.
Devotional leaders on Thursday night will be missionaries of the church and Friday night will be the deacon board members.
Mitchell Missionary Baptist Church of Louisburg will sponsor a “Ten Plagues of Egypt” program on Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m.
Each plague will be presented by individuals of the church, as well as community members, with Sister Mozelle Manning being the featured speaker. Music will be provided by the Singing Deacons.
Chillin’ & Grillin’ will be held at First United Church of Christ, 20 West Green Street, Franklinton, on Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m. Fried fish and grilled chicken plates will be sold, as well as sandwiches.
Revival services will be held at Rocky Cross Holiness Church, beginning Sunday, April 13, at 6 p.m. and continuing Monday, April 14, through Wednesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. Special guest speaker will be Tyler Jernigan.
A Prophetic Convention will be held on April 11 at 7:30 p.m., April 12 at 6 p.m., and April 13 at 3 p.m. at the Franklin County BTU Center (smaller building), 211 Dogwood Lane, Franklinton.
Holy Week services
Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 460 Fox Park Road, Louisburg, will have Holy Week services as follows:
April 13, Palm Sunday, regular Mass schedule; April 17, Holy Thursday, Bilingual Mass, 7 p.m.; April 18, Veneration of the Cross, 7 p.m.; Bilingual Stations of the Cross, 1 p.m. (parish center); April 19, Holy Saturday, 7:30 p.m.; April 20, Easter Sunday, regular Mass schedule.
The Youth Choir and Company of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 267 E. F. Cottrell Road, Louisburg, will celebrate their anniversary on Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. Many guest choirs are invited.
An Easter dramatization, “Never Lose Sight of the Cross,” written and directed by Minister Calotta Davis, will be presented at Greater New Life Ministries on Sunday, April 13, at 6 p.m. during the Hour of Power service.

Palm Sunday service
First Baptist Church, Franklinton, will observe its annual Palm Sunday worship service on Sunday, April 13, at 11 a.m.
Pastor André Johnson will deliver the message and the Gospel Chorus will render the music.
