FRANKLINTON— Darrell Eric Medlin, 65, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at Louisburg Nursing Center. Friends may visit Wednesday evening, Aug. 27, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 504 E. Mason St. in Franklinton. Services will be private.

Born in Vance County, Darrell was the son of the late Eric L. and Maude Pernell Medlin. Until his health declined, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Surviving: wife, Sandra Ayscue Medlin of Franklinton; son, Jason Medlin of Franklinton; daughter, Melissa Medlin Height of Durham; sister, Hope Coats (Freddie) of Franklinton; and two grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
