YOUNGSVILLE - Chestley O’Neal, 83, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, April 4) at Woodland Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Tommy Seedorf officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Wake County, son of the late Belle Walker O’Neal and Cornelius O’Neal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Pearson O’Neal, and a son, Jimmy Carl O’Neal. He was retired from Wake Finishing after 41 years of service.

Surviving: his sons, David O’Neal (Vivian) of Youngsville, Jerry O’Neal of Youngsville, Donnie O’Neal of Waynesville, Johnny “Buck” O’Neal of Wake Forest, Larry O’Neal (Kathy) of Wake Forest; stepson, Bruce Alford (Jill) of Youngsville; stepdaughter, Sylvia O’Neal (Carl Vernon) of Youngsville; sisters, Ina Lee Guin and Daphine Jones, both of Raleigh, Doris Wilkins of Sophia; and two grandchildren.
