O.J. WRENN, JR. (Oct. 24, 1926 – April 1, 2007)


LOUISBURG – Ollie Jack “O.J.” Wrenn, Jr., 80, of Louisburg, died Sunday morning.

O.J. was a son of the late Margie Smith and Ollie Jack Wrenn, Sr. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Marilyn W. Ayscue and Connie W. Swanson, and his sister, Mae W. Joyner. O.J. was the former owner of Wrenn’s Grocery and a Navy veteran.

Graveside service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Owens officiating.

O.J. is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nurlene F. Wrenn; daughter and son in-law, Sherry W. and Kent Perdue; sons and daughter in-law, Jack Wrenn, Tim and Gina Wrenn, all of Louisburg; sisters, Helen W. Jackson of Louisburg, Marie W. Wiggs of Raleigh, Lucille W. Alford of Rocky Mount.; brothers, Bill Wrenn and Russell Wrenn, both of Louisburg; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St. Louisburg.
