WAKE FOREST - Karen Elaine Girton Denton, 40, died Monday, April 9, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Red Bud Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leo Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Denton was born in Wake County, daughter of Barbara Sue Linker Girton and Rex Allen Girton.

Surviving: her husband, James Edward Denton Jr.; children, Alexandria Gwenn Denton and Dalton Shane Denton, all of the home; parents, Barbara Sue Linker Girton and Rex Allen Girton of Louisburg; brother, Douglas Allen Girton (Linda) of Louisburg; sisters, Melony Girton of Raleigh and Wanda Carroll Metzinger (Jim) of Louisburg.

Friends may visit with the family from 7 to 8:30 tonight (Wednesday, April 11) at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
