YOUNGSVILLE - Russell N. Strickland, 79, died Wednesday evening, April 11, 2007 at the Carolina House in Wake Forest. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, April 14) at Youngsville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Stratton officiating. Burial will follow in the Youngsville Town Cemetery.

Mr. Strickland was born in Youngsville, son of the late Neva Davis Strickland and Royal H. Strickland. He was the former owner and operator of Strickland’s Service Center in Youngsville and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Surviving: son, Gary Strickland (Barbara) of Youngsville; daughter, Debra Soultatos; brother, Bruce Strickland (Voncille) of Youngsville; and five grandchildren. Arrangements by Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Wake Forest.
