EDNA W. DAUSE


FRANKLINTON - Edna Williams Dause, 76, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Duke-Raleigh Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 6, at First Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Diane Dozier officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Franklinton.

She was born in Franklinton, the youngest of ten children of John Henry and Genevieve Allen Albritton. She was a retired teacher of the Franklinton Head Start Center. She was awarded the Child Development Associate Credential in 1984.

Surviving: her husband, Jasper C. Dause of the home; a son, James A. Williams of London, England; two stepsons, Edward T. Dause of Henderson and John C. Dause of Baltimore, Md.; one stepdaughter, Evelyn D. Wright of Henderson; three siblings, Inez Whitt of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lynn Richards and Frederick Albritton, both of New York; one granddaughter; and two step-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James F. Williams, and three children, Floreiss DeShields, Edwin Ronald Williams, and Michael Bernard Williams.
