LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Ralph Francis Brown, 78, known to many as Captain Brown, who died Wednesday, July 5, 2017, will be held Sunday, July 9, at 1 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Louisburg, with the Rev. Dr. Timothy Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Nelson Chapel Church cemetery.

Surviving: his wife, Kattie P. Brown of the home; daughters, Thursday Brown Rice (Harvey) of Greensboro, Wakenda Greene (June) of Louisburg; sisters, Virginia Lilly (Harold) of Wake Forest, Christianna Link (Amos) and Karen Stroud, both of Raleigh; brothers, Douglas Brown (Jennie) of Apex, Frank Brown (Clarice) of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.

Open visitation will be Saturday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
