CREEDMOOR - Fonza Bailey Harris, 95, died Friday, June 15, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 20, at Rock Spring United Church of Christ in Creedmoor, with the Rev. Veola Johnson officiating.

She was born in Granville County to the late Jim and Sally Bailey. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burt Harris, three sisters, four brothers, and two grandsons.

Surviving: four children, Herman Harris of Franklinton, Rosa Lee Timmons of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., Dorothy House (William) of Richmond Hill, N.Y., and Billy L. Harris (Pansy) of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister, Sella Bailey of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
