WILLIAM J. “RED” BARHAM


WAKE FOREST - William Jasper “Red” Barham, 79, died Monday, June 25, 2007 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 28, at Beulah Christian Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Mike Jones officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Barham was born in Wake County, son of the late Repsie and Ivan Barham. He was a retired maintenance supervisor with the State of North Carolina and a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

Surviving: his wife, Iva Mae Tart Barham; children, Sharon Davis (Danny) of Louisburg, Wanda Barham of Youngsville; stepsons, Thomas Wheeler of Rolesville, Daylon Wheeler (Betty) of Wake Forest; sister, Juanita Woodall of Bracey, Va.; brothers, Macon Barham and Leamon Barham, both of Youngsville, Elmo Barham of Zebulon, and Lee Barham of Asheville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
