LOUISBURG - Robert “Bobby” Nathaniel Ayscue, Jr., 68, of Louisburg, died Wednesday afternoon, July 4, 2007.

Bobby was a son of the late Robert Nathaniel and Mary Lou Abbott Ayscue, Sr. and a native of Franklin County. Bobby was a member of Liberty Christian Church and an Army Special Forces veteran and an Air Force retiree.

Memorial service was conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, at Liberty Christian Church with the Rev. Bob Wagner officiating. Inurnment followed in the church cemetery.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Barbara M. Ayscue; daughter and son-in-law, Starr and Allen Kirkman of Asheboro; sons and daughter-in-law, Shane and Jackie Ayscue of Epsom, David Ayscue of Louisburg, Bobby Ayscue of Thomasville; sisters, Peggy Ayscue of Hendersonville, Catherine Duke of Henderson, Bessie Ann Simpson of Monroe; brothers, Michael “Mack” Ayscue of Louisburg, Felton Ray Ayscue of Creedmoor, Gary Ayscue of Epsom; and six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Christian Church, Cross Fund, 7818 NC 39 Hwy. S., Henderson, NC 27537.

The family received friends 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg, and other times at the home of Shane and Jackie Ayscue, 292 Joe Ayscue Road, Epsom.
