FRANKLINTON - Katherine E. Latif, 48, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at UNC Hospital. A funeral service was conducted Tuesday, July 17, in the Memorial Chapel of the Cremation Society of the Carolinas.

Born in Wayne County, she worked as a paralegal before she became ill.

Surviving: her daughter, Melissa McDonald; three grandchildren; and fiancé, Walt Rogowski.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Society.
