TARBORO - Zebulon Vance Alford, 87, died Monday, July 16, 2007.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 18) at Carlisle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eric Crowe officiating. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Surviving: his wife, Irene Tyndal Alford; son, Zebulon Vance Alford Jr. (Jennifer) of Raleigh; daughter, Donna Pridgen (Billy) of Cary; sisters, Louise Babcock of Wilmington and Lena Edmondson of Youngsville; and two grandchildren.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Edgecombe County, P. O. Box 100, Tarboro, or to the charity of your choice.
