GREENSBORO – Hallie Summerlin Oliver, 84, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today (Saturday, July 21) at South Elm Street Baptist Church, with Dr. Lawrence Clapp officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Oliver was born in Franklinton to the late Lee Roy Summerlin and Eliza McAdams Summerlin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Lawrence Oliver; three sisters, two brothers and one granddaughter.

Surviving: sons, Donald R. Oliver (Carol) of Greensboro and Larry T. Oliver (Cathy) of Rocky Mount; sisters, Becky Burnette and Ruby Lee Eaves; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to her place of worship, South Elm Street Baptist Church.
