YOUNGSVILLE - Carolyn Green Underwood, 77, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007 at Blue Ridge Health Care Center. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 20, at Youngsville Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Youngsville Town Cemetery.

She was born in Buncombe County, daughter of the late Susan Cheatham Green and Robert F. Green. Mrs. Underwood was a charter member of the Youngsville Woman’s Club and a member of Youngsville Baptist Church.

Surviving: her husband, James E. “Jim” Underwood; sons, Rob Underwood (Charlotte) of Melbourne, Fla., and Greg Underwood (Sally) of Charlotte; daughter, Cora Underwood Lee (Jim) of West Chester, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
