FRANKLINTON - Margie Cannady Bobbitt, 78, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007 at Duke Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Aug. 23, at First Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Diane Dozer, officiating.

Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Otha Cannady and Lillie Mae Davis. She was employed with Capital City Truck Stop for many years.

Mrs. Bobbitt was preceded in death by one son, Jessie Lee Bobbitt; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

Surviving: husband, Willie Bobbitt of Wake Forest; daughters, Annie Cannady of Franklinton, Cynthia Bobbitt of New York, Frances Bobbitt and Daphine Bobbitt, both of Franklinton, and Julia Williams (Larry) of Henderson; sons, James Cannady (Florence) of Louisburg, Willie Bobbitt (Towanda) and Bennie Bobbitt of Wake Forest; sister, Judy Hobgood (James) of Oxford.; 26 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
