FRANKLINTON - Alice Mae Richardson Branch, 94, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007. Eulogistic services were conducted Saturday, Sept. 8, at Corinth United Church of Christ, Youngsville, with the Rev. Michael McCotter officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Carey and Addie Richardson. She was blessed by a previous marriage with two children who preceded her in death, James Haywood and Howard Lee Spivey. Later in life, she married the late Jimmy Branch. One of 10 children from this marriage, Jimmy Burley Branch, preceded her in death.

Surviving: eight daughters, Mary Eaton (Roy), Doris Branch, Bettie Mann (Mac), and Jerline Shipmon (Brantley), all of Raleigh, Elizabeth Shipmon (Bobby) of Louisburg, Patricia Swan (Brad) of Hampton, Va., Helen Warren (Willie), and Tono Branch, both of Jersey City, N.J.; one son, Bobby Branch of Jersey City, N.J.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
