ZEBULON - Bennie Gray Perry, 68, died Monday, May 8, 2006. A memorial service was conducted Thursday, May 11, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Daisy Perry and Bennett Perry, and was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Perry; two sisters, Pauline Perry and Irene Medlin; and a grandson.

Surviving: his daughter, Wendy P. Hodge of Zebulon; son, Bennie Wayne Perry of Zebulon; stepdaughter, Dorothy Suggs of Knightdale; stepson, Len Williams of Garner; sisters, Kathleen King of Franklinton and Edith Dickerson of Bunn; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11 South Boylan Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27603 or to a charity of one’s choice.
