RALEIGH - Ervin Manly Moore, 85, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007 at Mayview Convalescent Center. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Sept. 23, at Temple Baptist Church, with interment following in Raleigh Memorial Park.

He was born in Montgomery County to the late William C. Moore and Carrie Ruth McLendon Moore. He was a partner in Jones Supply Company for many years and a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Navy.

Surviving: his wife, Earlene Pearce Moore of the home; daughters, Miriam M. Carver (Tim) of Greensboro, Sharon M. Blinson of Youngsville; son, Michael D. Moore of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Mary M. Morris of Jacksonville, Fla., and Elma M. Luper of Portsmouth, Va.; and six grandchildren.
