Mrs. Janie Yates Vick Penderman, age 92, was born November 1, 1914 in Columbus Co., NC and departed this life Friday, September 28, 2007 at her home in Franklin Co., NC. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend and Christian who will be dearly missed by her five children, Emma Eley and Dalton Vick (Shirley), both of Chesapeake, VA, Iona Boyd (Elvas) of Virginia Beach, VA, Stewart Vick (Kelly) of Raleigh, NC and Marian Johnson (Homer) of Oxon Hill, MD; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from the Hickory Grove Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Open visitation was held at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg, NC on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements by Richardson Funeral Home, Louisburg, NC.
