BAILEY - James Madison Finch, 71, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Oct. 6) at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, with the Rev. Gary Vassar officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Town Cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County to the late George and Nannie Mae Finch. He and his wife, Lucy, moved to Bailey in 1978. Mr. Finch was owner-operator of James Finch Chevrolet and LBJ Chevrolet-Buick. He was a community and business leader.

Surviving: his wife, Lucy Wester Finch; a daughter, Bridget Tyson (Mike) of Bailey; sisters, Frances Vassar of Louisburg and Nan Eubanks of Raeford; brothers, John Finch of Wake Forest, Dorsett Finch of Youngsville, Gerald Finch and Joe Finch, both of Louisburg; and two grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Finch Jr.
