WAKE FOREST - Myrtle Barham Mangum, 62, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Oct. 20) in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest, with the Rev. Dr. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Christian Baptist cemetery.

Mrs. Mangum was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Lucille Perry Barham and Wesley Barham. She was retired from First Union Mortgage and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She also retired from Northern Wake Rescue, Rolesville station.

Surviving: her husband, Harvey Mangum; daughter, Edna “Punkin” Floyd (Tommy) of Wake Forest; sister, Joyce Wall of Knightdale; brothers, Ernest Barham of Exeter, N.H., Charles Barham of Youngsville; one granddaughter; many special nieces and nephews.
