FRANKLINTON - Willis “Skinny” Burchett, 78, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Mt. Carmel Christian Church cemetery, with the Rev. Dean Perry and the Rev. Brian Cameron officiating.

Burchett was born in Granville County, son of the late Lee Bert Morton Burchett and Battle Burchett. He was past master of the Franklinton Masonic Lodge.

Burchett was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Poole, and brother, David Lee Burchett. Surviving: his wife, Savone Burchett; daughter, Tammy Burchett of Franklinton; sister, Mary Driver of Franklinton.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 31) at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
