LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Mrs. Maedell Stokes, 83, who died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Perry’s Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Carl Wardrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Stokes family cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Betty Woodard of Henderson, Rosella S. Young of Wendell and Earnestine S. Jefferson of the home; one son, Otha L. Stokes of Louisburg; sisters, Annette Plummer of Freehold, N. J., Hattie Alston and Martha Richardson, both of Louisburg; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
