WAKE FOREST - Phillip Eugene Allen, 48, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center after a long-term illness. A memorial service honoring his life was conducted Thursday, Nov. 8, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest.

He was born in Wake County, son of the late Rebecca Pleasants Allen and Harold Ray Allen. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dalton Ray Allen and Gerald Wayne Allen. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Surviving: brothers, Harold “Buck Eye” Allen (Connie) of Youngsville, Terry Allen (Cathy) of Louisburg, Michael Allen of Wake Forest; sisters, Sandra Allen of Bunn, Deborah Underwood of Raleigh, Donna Privette of Wake Forest, Janet Jones (Charles) of Wake Forest, Patricia Gomez (Gonzalo) of Zebulon; 18 nieces and nephews.
