YOUNGSVILLE - Murphy Byon Franks, 76, died Monday morning, Nov. 26, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 28) in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Clyde Seagroves Franks and Alpha Byon Franks and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

Surviving: his wife, Jackie Franks; children, David Franks (Deoksoon) of Wake Forest, Kathy Waddell (Gary), William Murphy of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Johnny Murphy (Shannon) of Raleigh, and Jackie Wall (Jack) of Youngsville; brother, Richard Franks (Nancy) of Raleigh; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Franks, and a brother, Bill Franks.

Friends may visit with the family from 1-2 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
