LOUISBURG - Gary E. Snavely, 71, died Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Franklin Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest, with the Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Wake Forest cemetery.

Mr. Snavely was born in Eaton, Ohio, son of the late Helen Hobbs Snavely and Robert Snavely.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Snavely.

Surviving: his children, Shelia Piascki of Fayetteville, Christine Snavely of Florida, Jeff Snavely and Tony Snavely, both of Raleigh; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service at the cemetery.
