RALEIGH - Maurice Eugene “Gene” Glasgow Jr., 77, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at his home. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 26, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel in Knightdale. Burial followed in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, Raleigh.

He was born in Franklin County to Alice Hayes Glasgow and the late Maurice E. Glasgow Sr. He was retired from the U.S. Army with over 40 years of service.

Surviving: his wife, Rose Marie Hughes Glasgow; daughter, Donna Marie Glasgow of the home; mother, Alice Hayes Glasgow of Raleigh; two special aunts and numerous cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Hayes Glasgow.
