SPRING HOPE - Ferrell Eugene Burnette, 74, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 in Louisburg Nursing Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Duke Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jack Edge officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Pauline Whitley Burnette; daughters, Wanda Smith (J.P.) of Morehead City, Sondra Burnette (fiancé James) of Fuquay-Varina, and Pam Meeks (David) of Wilson; stepchildren, Ann Roberts of Bunn, Kent Ray of Justice, Lane Ray (Elizabeth) of Franklinton and Brian Ray (Cathy) of Bunn; brother, Joe Burnette (Marvelyn) of Wichita, Kan.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday night, 7 to 8:30, at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Duke Memorial Baptist Church, 4164 NC 581 Highway, Spring Hope, NC 27882.
