LOUISBURG - Will Johnson Gupton, 96, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008. A funeral service was conducted Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed in Red Bud Baptist Church cemetery.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Pearl and Edna; two brothers, Raymond and Oscar; three sisters, Lizzie Collins, Lessie Parrish and Lucy Gupton.

Surviving: sons, Johnson Gupton Jr. of Winston-Salem and Donald Gupton (Patricia) of Drexel; daughter, Frances Chadwick (Steve) of Montgomery, Ala.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church or Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
