LOUISBURG - Douglas Pittman, 61, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008. A celebration of life was conducted Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Carolina Pines Baptist Church, Raleigh, with the Rev. Horace Hamm officiating.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Pittman, and his brothers, Joe R. Pittman and Steven M. Pittman.

Surviving: his daughter, Crystal Jean Pittman of Dunn; mother, Thelma Lois Garner Pittman of Raleigh; brother, Ricky Allen Pittman (Debbie) of Jefferson; sister, Jean P. Lynn (Johnny) of Apex; and one grandson.

In lieu of floers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2418 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 206, Raleigh, NC 27606.
