LETHA W. GRISSOM


KITTRELL - Letha Louise Wallace Grissom, 84, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 at Maria Parham Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Jan. 19) in the J.M. White Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Frank Sossaman. Entombment will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe Wallace and Daisy Williams Wallace. She was a retired health care technician at John Umstead Hospital and attended South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving: two daughters, Patsy Wortham Edwards of Kittrell and Linda Wortham Brown of Sun City, Calif.; a son, Jerry Wayne Grissom of Henderson; and sister, Nita Sykes of Durham; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Grisson; and a son, Jimmy Wortham.

The family will receive friends at the home of Patsy W. Edwards at 44 Sunrise Lane, U.S. #1 South, Kittrell, and immediately following the service on Saturday at J.M. White Funeral Home, Henderson.
