LOUISBURG - Clarence Plyler Shearin Jr., 80, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at his home. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Jan. 26) in the chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services in Louisburg, with Dr. Wayne Ellis and the Rev. Philip Kissinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Hill King United Methodist Church cemetery.

Surviving: his wife, Lucille Thompson Shearin; sisters, Florence S. Collie of Spring Hope, Rachel S. “Jean” White of Plano, Texas, and Vivian S. Hibbard of Lutz, Fla.; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
