LOUISBURG - Martha L. Montague, 75, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Hawkins Chapel Baptist Church, Franklinton, with Pastor W.S. Taylor officiating and the Rev. Walter Yarborough performing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was born to the late William Greene and Katie Bell Hawkins of Franklin County. She attended school in Franklinton.

Surviving: sons, Charles “Nick” Blacknall (Ann) of Yonkers, N.Y., and Jesse “Dexter” Montague (Mable) of Franklinton; sisters, Lucy Fogg and Betty Person, both of Franklinton, and Hattie Neal and Doris Jeane Greene, both of Bronx, N.Y.; brothers, Robert Lee Greene of Chesterville, Va., Melvin Greene of Yonkers, N.Y., Truman Greene, Hubert Greene, and Theodore Greene, all of Franklinton; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
