ZEBULON - William Peter Fitzpatrick, 77, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008 at Rex Healthcare. Funeral mass will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Feb. 2) at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church, 608 Lions Club Road, Wendell, with Father Joseph Lapauw officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Gannon Ave., Zebulon.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Michael Fitzpatrick and Catherine Hutchinson Fitzpatrick. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He retired in 1993 from Grumman Aerospace as an electrical engineer. After retirement, he moved to Franklin County.

Surviving: his wife, Adrienne Walsh Fitzpatrick; daughters, Karen Harrington (James “Jim”) of Wendell, Adrienne M. Garland (Larry) of Franklin, Mass.; brother, James Fitzpatrick (Margaret) of New York; and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Peter Austin Fitzpatrick, and a sister, Mary Freeman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Eugene’s Catholic Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 188, Wendell, NC 27591.
