LOUISBURG - James Howard Perdue, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008 in Louisburg. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bunn Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Cottrell officiating.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving under Gen. George Patton during WWII.

Surviving: wife, Helda R. Perdue; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the home, 749 Old Halifax Road, Louisburg, at all times.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pearce Baptist Church, 4634 Pearces Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg. The flag in front of the funeral home flies at half staff in honor of Mr. Perdue’s service to his country.
