LOUISBURG - Lula Smith Moore, 89, of Louisburg, formerly of Kittrell, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 at Carebridge Assisted Living. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 19, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Wake Forest. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.

She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Mary Frances Johnson Smith and Yuta Ouris Smith. She was a retired guard with the NC Department of Correction and was married to Kemp Moore, who preceded her in death.

Surviving: granddaughter, Kim Moore; great-granddaughter, Shanelle Moore; four nephews and one niece.
