FRANKLINTON - Curtis Dean “Barney” Roberts died unexpectedly at the family home on Sunday, March 2, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 5) in the chapel of Franklin Funeral Service in Franklinton, with the Rev. Clyde Waiden and the Rev. Craig Currin officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

He was born in Henderson. He worked as a rural carrier for the U.S. Post Office for more than 20 years and co-owned Roberts Septic Tank & Cleaning.

Surviving: his mother, Joyce G. Roberts of the home; sister, Denise R. Roberts; brothers, Craig Goswick Roberts and Albert Roberts, all of the home; a great-uncle and two special cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Roberts; maternal grandparents, Hixie and Henry Goswick; and his paternal grandparents, Julius and Iris Roberts.
