LOUISBURG - Joseph Berry Cooper, Jr., 83, of Louisburg died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at his home. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, with the Rev. Mark Tondee officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park, Louisburg, NC.

Surviving: wife, Loraine A. Cooper; daughters, Brenda Alvis and husband, Ricky of Louisburg, Pam Gower and husband, Don of Raleigh, Sharron C. Freeman of Louisburg and Rebecca Cooper of Louisburg; son, Joseph B. Cooper and wife, Judi of Louisburg; sister, Sue Boone and husband, Joe of Littleton; grandchildren, Susan Weathers, Elaine Alvis, Craig Freeman and Chris Freeman; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.
