RALEIGH - Beverly Anne Baker Van Tassell, 59, died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at her home. Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Montlawn Memorial Park.

A native of Raleigh, she was the daughter of Charles Marion Baker Sr. and Dorothy Jones Baker of Heathsville, Va.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Gregory Van Tassell of Tappahannock, Va.; sons, Christopher Van Tassell of Richmond, Va., Dorian V. Tassell of Germantown, Md.; brother, Charles M. Baker Jr. of Louisburg; sister, Diane Baker of Utica, Ill.
